Liquor and tobacco retailers and their close allies represented El Sobrante Sikh sangat at National Sikh Campaign

Small gang of liquor and tobacco retailers (self declared El Sobrante Sikh sangat leaders) and number of their key supporters attended National Sikh Campaign #Sikhawerness in San Francisco on Feb 21, 2016

gang1

(First from left) Surinderjeet Bajwa constantly amending bylaws to stay in power until his bluff was called off by the court. Now he wants to reinvent bylaws with the help of his bylaw violator Khak.

(Second from left) Harjap Chouhan, liquor and tobacco retailer, whom many people believe to have pocketed thousands of dollars for construction at gurughar. Harjap has been cited (ex. citation 1, citation 2 found on google) several times by California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control for selling alcohol to minors. Harjap has also been subject of investigation by California State Board of Equalization for  unreported sales of goods sold at his store(s).  (Click here to for more information )

(Center) Kulwant Singh president of illegal pc who spent $218,000 without sangat approval

(Forth from left) Charnjit Samra a baptised Sikh who runs smoke shop in San Francisco and signed major portion of illegal checks to defend the illegal committee.

(Fifth from left) Mr. Balbir Khak new SC member who is proposed Bajwa to change bylaws to make room for their entry into new PC.

gang2.

(First from left) Darshan Mann who was the jathedar of SC who illegally declared the PC in 2012.

(Second from left) Ravi Randhawa who coordinated the by law misuse defense of illegal committee in 2012-13. Mr. Randhawa is also a tobacco retailer according to the city of El Cerrito. (View El Cerrito tobacco retailers list)

What can these pseudo/self-serving leaders offer to National Sikh Campaign efforts when they fail to even follow basics of Sikhism. These self-serving/egocentric community leaders  failed to follow their own written by-laws and created handpicked  illegal committee made up of liquor consumers and smoke shop owners in 2012 and spent over $218,000 of Sangat donated money to keep their their control on El Sobrante Gurdwara (for the motives you can guess).

These individuals are no leaders but opportunists who constantly divide sangat to keep their grip on gurdwara fiances while offering any transparency.

Gurdwara El Sobrante 2013 Court Case Update

Illegally selected Gurdwara committee (ignoring the El Sobrante Gurdwara bylaws) has lost the court case.
Sangat wins!!!

This video explores the role Surinderjit (Jeet) Bajwa played in the outcome of Gurdwara court case’s ruling.

Please note that Jeet bajwa is responsible for making many changes to gurdwara by-laws in past few years. Many believe such changes weakened the bylaws and introduced many loopholes that allowed few select group of people to control the gurdwara in the past till present.

Meet Kulwant Singh, President of illegal Gurdwara Committee in 2012.

In 2012, Mr. Kulwant Singh (known for getting drunk at family parties) was selected as the president of Sikh Temple at El Sobrante, California by gang of community members who manipulated/misused temple’s by-laws and cheery picked temple committee without any transparency to the local Sikh community members. In order to keep temple under his control, Kulwant and his committee spend over $200,000 of temple’s money (donated by locals) to fight local Sikhs in a court battle. After he lost the fight, Contra Costa County Court ordered him and other illegal committee members to be booted off from the temple governance.

Beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib (SGGS) Jee By Local Sikh Leadership @ El Sobrante Gurughar (Nov 2015)

In light of the recent incidents of beadbi (disrespect) of SGGS saroops that have and are still taking place in Punjab, Sikhs across the world are perturbed. Mishandling of the peaceful Sikh protests by the Badal/BJP government has further fueled the fire. Responsible for all this beadbi is the RSS backed Akali/BJP government through full control of Akali Dal, SGPC and Takht Jathedars. Through Makkar they have crossed all limits by stripping the powers of Akal Takht Panj Pyaye by not honoring their hukamnama asking all Takht Jathedars to resign.

Badal/SGPC type gundagardi approach and beadbi of SGGS has and is still ongoing at El Sobrante Gurughar.  Here are a few examples:

I. Gurdwara run by “liquor, hookah, and tobacco seller” Parbandhaks  is pure beadbi of SGGS.

We, as El Sobrante Gurughar Sangat (EGS), are responsible for our share of beadbi that goes on in our place of worship when we do not speak up and let liquor, hookah, and tobacco sellers (as well as consumers) to govern our community spiritual center.  The principles and standards of these Parbandhaks fall well below the principles of Sikhism. We must work together to put an end this practice of not selecting Sikh leaders who fall below the high principles of Sikhism.

II. Parbandhaks suing each other for illegal selections is a pure beadbi of SGGS:

In 2012, a local organized group of primarily businessmen manipulated the Gurdwara bylaws to keep control of the Gurdwara for motives known to them with a complete blackout of the transparency of their governance. This group cherry picked illegal puppet committee which was challenged in the court. Backers and advisors of this illegal committee spent over $200k from the Goluk without sangat’s permission to defend their totally illegal selection per the bylaws. Spending gurughar money for defending illegal selection is a gross violation of the contract (bylaws) between the sangat and the parbandhaks . This is not in line with Sikh Principles and misuse of Goluk money is the beadbi SGGS.

III. Misuse of bylaws by the present PC and SC:

PC/SC very similar to Akai Dal/BJP is misusing the bylaws to interfere with the selection of SC mandated by the bylaws. An approach very similar to Badal keeping control of Makkar and five jathedars. Sadh Sangat you need to wake up and raise your voice to get the new SC selected per the bylaws selected immediately. Six applications are already there and all what needs to be done draw five names from a lot of six. Reason for delay is the list is short and it does not contain enough names to 6 out the 12 SC/PC Malhi family members like to ensure their continued control.

Please share this with other sangat members to get their feedback to bring this ongoing beadbi at El Sobrante gurughar to an end forever.
